Canadian-American violist Laura Wilcox has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the Americas and Europe. She is active in performing and commissioning works from composers from North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Her studies included SUNY-Purchase in New York and McGill University in Montreal.
Her teachers were Charles Castleman, Emanuel Vardi, Robert Levin, Paul Rolland, John Graham and the Emerson, Juilliard, Cleveland, and Orford String Quartets. Laura is the music director of the ArtSouth Ensemble, Homestead, Florida, a member of Florida International University’s new music ensemble Nodus, and principal violist for the Florida Grand Opera and Miami City Ballet Orchestras. Her CDs are available on the SNE record label.
