Marie Von Rueden has been an active performer from a young age. Beginning violin at the age of four, by age eleven she was awarded one of the winners of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Bach Double Competition. Since then Marie was chosen to perform at the Suzuki Association of the Americas Conference and was awarded a recital by the Milwaukee Music Teachers’ Association. She continued to develop her skills in solo and ensemble settings participating in the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and the American Suzuki Institute summer camps. Continuing a passion and love for music and ensemble playing, Marie received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point where she studied under Steve Bjella. She held the position of Concertmaster for the University Orchestra and has participated in several chamber groups over the years. Currently, Marie is an active member of the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra and is a section coach for the Central Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra.
