Violist Vivian Torres began her musical training at the age of 12. She has studied under the direction of Juilliard graduates Richard Fleischman, Paul Coletti, and Michael Klotz. Vivian obtained her Master’s degree in Music Performance from Florida International University and Artist Diploma from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. She performs regularly as an orchestral and chamber musician throughout South Florida. For over 10 years she has been teaching privately throughout Miami and is currently the viola teacher at the Gulliver Academy. Vivian is also the founder of Share the Music, an organization offering music education and performance opportunities to young musicians, that annually donates to local arts non-profits. Currently, Vivian is studying at the Philadelphia School for the Alexander Technique to become a certified Alexander Teacher to enhance her skills as a teacher and performer.
